             (3rd - 7th grade ONLY.  Does not pertain to Mighty Mite.)



AUGUST

August 2:  Squads may begin practice schedules

August 14 - 15:  Pictures

August 27:  Trojan Preview and JTA Run-On

August 28:  Football season begins!


SEPTEMBER

September 4:  No games scheduled due to Labor Day weekend


OCTOBER

October 1:  Jenks Homecoming Parade

October 27:  Last game of regular season

October 29:  Play-off games begin


NOVEMBER

*** Pick-up trophies and have end-of-season parties ***

November 1:  JTA Academic All Stars grades due

November 2:  Post-season tournament and games begin

If you haven't already done so, you need to turn in your Sponsor application and a copy of your current NYSCA card to Tammy Cantrell BEFORE CAMP.  These need to be turned in ASAP so background checks can be completed.  Please mail them to the following address:

Please inform your squad members to try on their tennis shoes on a clean surface and to take care of their shoe box until they are certain they have the correct size!  If they need to be exchanged, contact Liz Flake or Jodi LaPlant ASAP.  Shoes can ONLY BE EXCHANGED IF: 1) they are 100% clean (unworn and tried on while on a clean surface), and 2) there are NO markings on, or damage to, the shoe box.

Make sure you have contacted all of your squad members and let them know their camp time.  Here is the schedule:
 
Mighty Mite Camp (1st - 2nd grade)
Date: July 26-29, 2010 
Location: Jenks Middle School Gym 
Time: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Cheer Camp (3rd - 7th grade)
Date: July 26-28, 2010 
Location: OXT (Oklahoma Extreme Tumbling)
                (OXT is located on 111th just east of Memorial
Time: Let your squad know the time you chose

Pom Camp (6th - 7th grade)
Date: July 26-29, 2010 
Location: Jenks Middle School Gym
Time: 6th grade - 3:00-5:00 p.m.
           7th grade - 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Note:  3rd - 7th grade camp is for 3 days.  Mighty Mite and Pom camps are for 4 days.
 
Please make sure your squad members bring water, or something to drink.  It will be hot!  They need to wear tennis shoes.  If they have not received their uniform tennis shoes, any tennies will do for camp. 
 
As a reminder, all parents MUST stay in the parent section if they choose to remain at camp.  It will be crowded, so dropping off and picking up their children is a great idea.  Sponsors and coaches need be on the floor and stay with their squad.
